14ª Estação | Jesus é depositado no sepulcro Fragilidade: Medo do futuro

O cemitério. O fim. Quando a pedra rolou sobre a entrada do túmulo, parecia que tudo tinha definitivamente acabado. Parecia, Senhor, que Tu e o Teu caminho do amor não tinham sido senão uma ilusão. Uma esperança enganadora num hipotético triunfo do Bem sobre o mal. Parecia que tudo tinha terminado, que tínhamos de ser realistas, que o mundo afinal era mesmo dos espertos e não daqueles que sonham com o Bem, como Tu.

Tantas vezes na nossa vida parece não haver futuro. Não vemos qualquer luz ao fundo do túnel. Ficamos com medo de olhar para a frente. Não conseguimos tomar decisões, não vemos por onde a história possa continuar, só vemos o caminho bloqueado por pedras grandes diante de nós.

É aí que precisamos de ouvir a voz de Maria. A falar-nos dos fins que são inícios, da aparente morte de uma árvore no Inverno quando apenas se está a preparar para florir na Primavera. Dos sepulcros que são portas para a ressurreição.

14th Station | Jesus is laid in the tomb Fragility: Fear of the future

The cemetery. The end. When the stone covered the tomb entrance, it seemed like everything was over. Lord, it seemed that You and Your way of love had been nothing but an illusion. A deceptive hope in a hypothetical triumph of Good over evil. It seemed that everything had come to an end, that we had to be realistic, that the world truly did belong to the clever ones and not to those who dream of Good, like You.

Oftentimes, it feels as if the future is out of reach. We cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel. We become afraid to look ahead. We cannot make any decisions and we cannot see how the story can continue; the only thing we see is that the path in front of us is obstructed by large rocks.

This is when we need to hear Mary's voice. Reminding us that endings are often just new beginnings: that a tree seemingly dead in winter is just preparing to bloom in spring, and that tombs are just doorways to resurrection.
