5ª Estação | Simão de Cirene ajuda Jesus a carregar a Cruz Fragilidade: Intolerância

Os soldados obrigaram um homem chamado Simão a carregar a cruz de Jesus. Não lhe pediram, obrigaram-no. À força. Era um trabalhador rural. Nem sequer era romano. Não valia, não tinha direito a dizer se queria ou se não queria.

Hoje, o mundo também está cheio de exclusões e de intolerâncias. Há minorias não têm direito a falar ou mesmo a existir. Em muitos países, nem se pode praticar a religião que se entender. Há muitas pessoas que não podem exprimir livremente as suas ideias. Cada grupo quer impor a sua maneira de ver e afastar quem pense diferente. Por vezes até mesmo dentro da Igreja. Por vezes até mesmo dentro dos nossos corações.

Tu, Senhor, foste vítima da intolerância. Mas não Te deixaste tomar pelo ódio. E por isso podes ser ponte entre todos. Ensina-nos a ser construtores de pontes onde quer que estejamos.

5th Station | Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus carry the Cross Fragility: Intolerance

The soldiers forced a man named Simon to carry Jesus' cross. They did not ask him, they forced him. By force. He was a man from the countryside. Not even a Roman. He did not matter, nor did he have a say in the matter.

The world today is also full of exclusion and intolerance. There are minorities who do not have the right to speak or even exist. In many countries, people cannot even practice the religion of their choice. There are many who aren't allowed to freely express their ideas. Every group wants to impose its own point of view and shun anyone who thinks differently. Sometimes, even within the Church. Sometimes, even within our hearts.

You, My Lord, were a victim of intolerance. But You did not give in to hatred. Therefore, You can be the bridge that connects us all. Teach us to build bridges wherever we may be.
