9ª Estação | Jesus cai pela terceira vez Fragilidade: Dependências

Pela terceira vez no chão, Senhor? Sinto medo por Ti, sinto medo de que não Te consigas levantar. Ou que caias de novo, mal Te ponhas de pé.

Talvez queiras chegar perto daqueles jovens que voltam a cair cada vez que se tentam levantar. Acusam-nos de serem fracos, de não resistirem à droga, à pornografia, ao álcool. Acusam-nos de se refugiarem nos seus écrans ao ponto de ficarem viciados. Só não entendem que levantar-se possa exigir forças que eles já não têm. E uma fé que já perderam.

Olho para Ti caído no chão. Imagino-Te a dizer a cada jovem com uma dependência: “Caio contigo para que te levantes comigo. Vá, procura ajuda, põe-te de pé e avança. Comigo, desta vez, vais conseguir. Vamos juntos.”

9th Station | Jesus falls for the third time Fragility: Addictions

Third time on the ground, My Lord? I fear for You, I am afraid that You may not be able to stand up. Or that You might fall again, as soon as You get back on Your feet.

Perhaps You want to get closer to those young people who fall every time they try to get back up. They accuse them of being weak, of not being able to resist drugs, pornography or alcohol. They accuse them of hiding behind their screens, to the point of becoming addicted. But what they do not understand is that getting up might require strength they no longer have. And a faith they have already lost.

I see You lying on the ground. I imagine You saying to every young person with an addiction: "I fall with you, so that you may rise with me. Now, seek help, rise up, and move forward. This time, you will make it with me. Let's go together."
