1ª Estação | Jesus é condenado à morte Fragilidade: Pobreza

Senhor, Pilatos assinou o decreto. Assinou o decreto que extinguia o Teu futuro. “Este ser humano deve morrer; ele não terá mais futuro”.

Muitos jovens sentimos isto hoje, Senhor, que o futuro nos está a ser tirado. Dizem-nos que a vida está cheia de oportunidades, mas é difícil ver onde estão essas oportunidades quando o dinheiro não chega, quando não se consegue arranjar trabalho e quando ter acesso à educação é, na prática, muitas vezes impossível.

Senhor, mesmo quando Te condenaram à morte, Tu não Te deixaste ir abaixo. Explicaste a Pilatos que ele não teria nenhum poder sobre Ti se Deus não o permitisse. E, com o Pai a Teu lado, seguiste em frente, confiando no futuro. Ensina-nos a fazer o mesmo.

Lord, Pilate signed the decree. He signed the decree that would extinguish Your future. "This human being must die; he shall have no future."

Lord, many young people feel this way, that our future is being taken from us. We are told that life is full of opportunities, but it is hard to see where those opportunities are when money is scarce, when it is difficult to find work, and when access to education is, in reality, often impossible.

Lord, even when they condemned You to death, You did not let it get You down. You explained to Pilate that he would not have any power over You, if God had not allowed it. And with the Father by Your side, You moved forward, putting Your trust in the future. Teach us to do the same.
